Elkhorn beats Gretna for girls' title

The Gretna Lady Dragons couldn't hold on to a two-point halftime lead and lost to Elkhorn 56-42 in the EMC Tournament finals Saturday at Elkhorn.

Gretna held on to beat a tough Norris team 37-32 in the semifinals.

Brooke Arp led the team in scoring in both games, scoring 17 points against Norris and 14 against Elkhorn. Hilary Stover added 10 points in the semifinal game. In the finals, Cathy Edmison and Halley Samuelson scored in double figures as well with 11 points and 10 points, respectively.
