Blair topples Ralston 48-7

Published: Thursday, October 1, 2009 3:10 PM CDT

Ralston had no answer Friday night for Blair junior Ryan Randall as the Bears rolled to a 48-7 Class B football win.

Randall rushed for 251 yards on 20 carries and scored on runs of 4, 7 and 32 yards as the Bears improved to 4-1.

The Rams struggled on the ground, rushing for 38 net yards (65 total) on 23 attempts. Chad Otte led the way with 37 yards.

Ralston’s lone score of the contest came in the first quarter when quarterback Ryan Herdman connected with Dwight Smith on a 61-yard scoring play.

Nick Johnson converted the point-after kick.

Luke Buller, Zach Schafer and Brad Simpson led the defense with 12, 11 and nine total tackles.

The schedule doesn’t get any easier for the Rams as they host unbeaten Skutt Catholic Friday night at 7.
